Rockport, ME

The small [former] fishing town of Rockport, Maine was the post card of grey skies, 'Labsta' eating, and colorful seaport buildings that I hoped it would be.

We walked from the back harbor along to the northern point of the Rockport harbor, stopping along the way at artisan shops and galleries. The grey skies of the day made the sweet seaside take a back seat to the beauty of white sails and hulls of the small skiffs gliding back and forth past the break.

Visiting this sweet town in the late fall meant some of the shops were closed and restaurants had limited hours, but the visitors and residents alike were welcoming and glad to have us.
